I've completed Bachelors of Engineering in Electronics & Communication from Kathmandu Engineering College, Kalimati, Kathmandu. Technological growth of the world and my intuition has sparked my interest in the way of computer science & new technology.
My four years of Engineering have helped me hone a keen understanding of how to think like an Engineer. I also worked as a President at Robotics Club of Kathmandu Engineering College (2017/2018) and involved in various National & International technological events and activities.
This project is about the implementation of the Internet of Things (IOT) for the development of agriculture in Nepal. The project is titled as ‘Krishi Sathi’ & it will be using a low level hardware device that measures different variables of the surroundings i.e. temperature, humidity, soil moisture, pH of the soil, UV radiation. The measured values are then transferred to a SQL database server which will later be pulled back to a Django web application for further processing. There is an option to connect the device to an android phone application with the help of a Bluetooth module. The android application will also act as an interface between the database and the web application, in case Wi-Fi is not available. The final output is displayed in a frontend website page suggesting the best yielding crop & farming techniques to increase the production.
Inorder to attain the maximum efficiency from the solar cells, they need to be constantly cleaned such that the intensity of sunlight is not compromised in conversion of energy that can be harnessed form it. Based on the facts above, the robot is designed in order to create awareness regarding constant cleansing of the solar panel for the maximum energy that we can harness from it. It consist two robots – a Carrier Robot (CaR) and a Cleaning Robot (CleaR). CaR is able to carry CleaR to Solar Farm Zone and CleaR cleans the panels. It won the Best Engineering Award in National Robotics Competition IOE ROBOCON 2018.
Krishak Copter is a multirotor unmanned aerial vechile capable of spraying insecticides and pesticides in agricultural fields. This project is one of the model for the representation of use of technology in agricultural sector and it became 1st runner up in International Robotics Competition Yantra 5.0 in Main Theme Competition.
